Mark Lancaster
Maj Gen The Rt Hon the Lord Lancaster of Kimbolton TD PC
Mark was Officer Commanding 217 Field Squadron (EOD)(V). He was elected as a Member of Parliament in 2005 and was Minister for the Armed Forces from 2017 to 2019. He joined the House of Lords in 2020. Mark became Director or Reserves in 2023 and is a Colonel Commandant Royal Engineers.

Maj Gen David Southall CBE
David was Commanding Officer 33 Engineer Regiment (EOD) 2007 to 2010. During which he commanded the UK Counter IED Task Force in Afghanistan. He retired from the Army as Army Director Basing & Infrastructure. David is now a non-executive director and strategic advisor. He is a Vice President of the Institution of Royal Engineers, Chair of the Royal Engineers Museum Charity and a Colonel Commandant Royal Engineers.

Maj (Ret) Ben Hawkins
Ben was Officer Commanding 49 Field Squadron (EOD) 2011 to 2013. He commanded operations in Bosnia, Iraq, Afghanistan, Cyprus and Canada. Ben also led procurement to mitigate the threat of Improvised Explosive Devices. After leaving the Army Ben is now a Partner and Director of Advisory at CHC Global, which provide advice on malicious threats.

Lt Col (Ret) Duncan Jenkins
Duncan qualified as a Aummunition Technical Officer in the Royal Logistic Corps serving as an EOD operator in various countries. He gained an MSc in Explosive Ordnance Engineering and now works in project management in the defence sector.

Tom May
Tom qualified as an EOD operator while a reservist. During which he served full time in 49 Field Squadron (EOD) and deployed on operations in the UK and in Iraq. He works as a social researcher.

The Commanding Officer 11 EOD & Search Regiment is responsible for improvised explosive device and conventional munitions disposal in the UK and globally. As well as inspecting and licensing ammunition storage and enforcing explosives safety regulations.

Commanding Officer DEMS Training Regiment is responsible for training the the future EOD and IEDD operators, search advisors, Ammunition Technications and Ammunition Technical Officers.
